Abstract:
The overall structure and the local structural features of the superconductor-related cuprate Gd2 Ba2 CaCu2 Ti3 O14 were determined by the simultaneous fitting of the data sets of five EXAFS spectra and a powder X-ray diffractogram with a single structural description. The method is particularly suitable for materials that do not exhibit perfect crystalline order.
