Bedside Sonography Performed by Emergency Physicians to Detect Appendicitis in Children

Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) showed limited ability for emergency physicians to detect appendicitis in children. The study found low sensitivity and a high rate of inconclusive results for this diagnostic tool in pediatric emergency departments.
