Abstract:
We describe the autopsy findings in a prostitute, aged 38, who had recurrent fever, lymphadenopathy, anorexia and progressiveweight loss. Serology confirmed the presence of HTLV III antibodies. There was evidence of immunodeficiency with widespread opportunistic infections by candida, cryptococcus, mycobacteria and the cytomegalovirus.
