Exercise-induced rhabdomyolysis can lead to acute kidney injury (AKI). Patients with AKI often present with systemic symptoms, dehydration, and elevated creatinine kinase, requiring renal replacement therapy.

- Exercise-induced rhabdomyolysis (EIR) is an uncommon cause of severe rhabdomyolysis.
