Anti-inflammatory terpenoids from Cyperus rotundus rhizomes

Researchers discovered cyperalin A, a novel norterpenoid from Cyperus rotundus rhizomes, showing potent anti-inflammatory effects. This compound effectively inhibits prostaglandin E2 (PGE2), cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), and lipoxygenase-5 (LOX-5).
