Adenovirus associated with acute diarrhea: a case-control study.

Human adenoviruses (HAdV) are linked to childhood diarrhea. This study found non-enteric HAdV3 is also a significant cause of diarrhea in children, alongside HAdV species F (40, 41).

- A wide diversity of HAdV serotypes circulates among children with and without diarrhea.
- Non-enteric HAdV-3 is implicated as a significant pathogen contributing to childhood diarrhea.
