Polysomnographic findings in Rett syndrome

Background:

• Rett syndrome (RS) is a severe neurodevelopmental disorder.
• Abnormal breathing and disturbed sleep are characteristic of RS.

Purpose of the Study:

• To investigate sleep quality and respiratory events in girls with Rett syndrome using polysomnography (PSG).
• To characterize sleep architecture and breathing abnormalities in RS patients with MECP2 gene mutations.
