Summary

African histoplasmosis, caused by Histoplasma capsulatum var duboisii, was diagnosed in a young man with skin lesions, enlarged lymph nodes, spleen, and liver. This case highlights the importance of mycologic and histologic examination for diagnosing this fungal infection.
