Application of cubital venous graft for double coronary bypass
Abstract:
In experiments with cadaver hearts the cubital vein was used for aortocoronary bypass anastomosis. The indications, advantages and drawbacks of the use of a venous section of inverted Y shape are discussed. Since 20 to 30% of patients in need of an operation of this type have saphenous veins which cannot be applied as grafts, use of the cubital vein is recommended.
