Abstract:
The importance of the "Baumtest" is discussed in analyzing the special way in which patients experience their illness and the loss of psychological and physiological functions. The investigation affirms the hypothesis that the pictures reflect patients' attitudes towards the illness and damage to functions. This test is recommended as an instrument for diagnosing the psychological state of the geriatric patient. It is necessary, however, to complete the diagnosis by means of other instruments and by exploration.
