Summary
Ultrasonography is useful for diagnosing acute acalculous cholecystitis (AAC), detecting gallbladder abnormalities in 80% of dogs. Hepatobiliary scans are less reliable for AAC diagnosis, showing abnormalities in only 22% of cases.
