Ectopic spleen, or thoracic splenosis, can occur in the lungs and chest wall years after spleen injury and splenectomy. Surgical treatment may not be necessary for asymptomatic cases.

- Ten years post-surgery, thoracic splenosis was detected in the lungs and chest wall.
Findings:
- Clinical diagnosis suggested unidentified masses, benign lung, and chest wall tumors.
- Radiological imaging indicated thoracic splenosis.
- Pathological diagnosis confirmed thoracic splenosis after surgical resection.
Implications:
- Thoracic splenosis is a potential sequela of splenic injury and subsequent splenectomy.
- Non-operative management may be suitable for asymptomatic or minimally symptomatic thoracic splenosis.
