Circulating irisin levels in heart failure with preserved or reduced ejection fraction: A pilot study

Irisin levels are higher in heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) than in heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF). Oxidative stress influences irisin secretion differently in these heart failure subtypes.
