Total cervical tracheal rupture following blunt trauma

A rare case of total cervical tracheal rupture from blunt trauma in a traffic accident is presented. Emergency tracheostomy and surgical anastomosis successfully treated the life-threatening injury.

- The patient recovered without complications, aside from temporary hoarseness, and was discharged on postoperative day 16.
