Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the effect of an intensive behavioral weight management program on absenteeism and presenteeism in full-time obese employees.

  • Participants were recruited from a multidisciplinary lifestyle weight management program.
  • Absenteeism and presenteeism were measured using the World Health Organization Health and Work Performance Questionnaire (HPQ) at baseline and 6 months.

  • No significant changes in absenteeism or presenteeism were observed after 6 months in the program.
  • A trend towards reduced absenteeism was noted, suggesting potential benefits.
