To enhance NICU RNs' knowledge and application of FCC principles.
To implement and evaluate an educational and mentoring program for NICU RNs.
To foster sustainable changes in professional practice regarding parental discharge readiness.

A quality improvement project was designed.
A 30-minute educational session on FCC principles was delivered.
Registered nurses participated in 4 weeks of mentoring post-education.
