    Summary

    Allergic diseases may involve a T-cell defect, as indicated by reduced absolute T-lymphocyte numbers in patients. However, "null" cells do not appear to be the cause of these defective T-cells in allergies.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate T, B, and "null" cell counts in allergic patients compared to healthy controls.
    • To explore the association between specific allergic conditions and immune cell alterations.

    • Studied 100 allergic patients and 35 healthy controls.
    • Identified T cells via spontaneous rosettes with SRBC (E-RFC).
    • Identified B cells via complement receptor binding (EAC-RFC).
