[Lung parenchyma disease following instillation of mitomycin C in the bladder]

After instillation of mitomycin C into the urinary bladder severe pulmonary changes developed in a 35-year-old man. This complication has previously been described only after systemic administration of the drug. If mitomycin C is administered locally the lungs should be regularly examined.
