Non-Detection of Enteroviruses in Shellfish Collected from Legal Shellfish Beds in Massachusetts

No human enteric viruses were found in shellfish. However, bacterial contamination, including fecal coliforms, exceeded regulatory limits in many shellfish samples from both open and restricted areas.
