Constipation is associated with tension type headache in women

Tension-type headaches (TTH) and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) often co-occur in women, potentially sharing brain-gut axis mechanisms. This study found osmophobia significantly linked to constipation-dominant IBS in TTH patients.

- This study is the first to establish a link between osmophobia and constipation in the context of TTH and IBS.
