When should the evaluation of erectile function be done before radical prostatectomy?

Transrectal ultrasound prostate biopsy temporarily impacts erectile function. The International Index of Erectile Function-5 questionnaire should be administered before biopsy, not before radical prostatectomy, to accurately assess sexual health.
