The Evolution of Pneumatic Foramina in Pterosaur Vertebrae

Pterosaur skeletal pneumatization, indicated by pneumatic foramina in vertebrae, was studied using new characters. Most foramina evolved independently, with few appearing consistently across pterosaur evolution.
