Altered Cortico-Striatal Functional Connectivity During Resting State in Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder

Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is linked to altered brain connectivity. This study found increased functional connectivity (FC) in the cortico-striato-thalamo-cortical (CSTC) system in OCD patients, particularly between the subthalamic nucleus and globus pallidus.

- Increased FC between the STN and GPe may be a critical factor in OCD, aligning with deep brain stimulation target sites.
