Writing a statement of philosophy of management

A statement of philosophy of management is a powerful declaration and one that must be continually reviewed. If it is to be accepted and recognized, the statement must reflect the true beliefs of management. The actions taken by management must also mirror those beliefs. We say "we believe"; the staff say "show us." Once your philosophy of management has been set down in writing and clearly defined, there is a grave responsibility to always act in accordance with the beliefs you have formally and openly acknowledged.
