A novel yellow-pigmented bacterium, Flavobacterium sangjuense sp. nov. strain GS03T, was discovered in Korean river sediment. This Gram-negative, aerobic bacterium exhibits gliding motility and unique fatty acid profiles, expanding the Flavobacterium genus.
