Chronic inflammation in spondyloarthropathy (SpA) is linked to cardiovascular disease (CVD). Higher SpA disease activity correlates with impaired flow-mediated vasodilation (FMD) and carotid intima-media thickness (cIMT), indicating endothelial dysfunction and atherosclerosis.
