1a A.R. Dykes Library, The University of Kansas Medical Center , Kansas City , Kansas , USA.
Abstract:
JAMAevidence provides three textbooks offering guidance on identifying and applying the best available evidence from the medical literature across a variety of clinical contexts and situations. The database also features educational tools associated with these textbooks instructors can implement when teaching the key concepts behind evidence-based medicine (EBM). These tools include ready-made PowerPoint presentations, calculators geared toward clinical use, and an A-Z glossary of EBM terms. This article describes the history of the JAMAevidence database, the content included in it, a sample search, and recommendations for best use.
