Summary

Normal eye lenses contain significant tissue plasminogen activator (t-PA). This enzyme is found in the lens epithelium, fibers, and capsule, potentially regulating accommodation and extracellular matrix remodeling.

Background:

  • Tissue plasminogen activator (t-PA) is a key enzyme in fibrinolysis.
