Robotic retroperitoneal partial nephrectomy (RPPN) offers reduced operative time and blood loss compared to transperitoneal partial nephrectomy (TPPN) for kidney tumors. Both approaches yield similar oncologic and post-operative outcomes, with surgeon preference guiding the choice.
