Comparison of Open Appendectomy and Laparoscopic Appendectomy in Perforated Appendicitis

For perforated appendicitis, laparoscopic appendectomy significantly reduces surgical site infections and operating time compared to open appendectomy. Hospital stay duration showed no significant difference between the two surgical approaches.
