  • Population-based study utilizing the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database.
  • Analysis of data from 7,529,481 cancer patients diagnosed between 1992 and 2015.
  • Calculation of fatal stroke rates and standardized mortality ratios (SMRs).

  • The overall standardized mortality ratio (SMR) for fatal stroke in cancer patients was 2.17.
