Background:

Advancing pediatric physical therapy (PT) education requires a clear research agenda.
Identifying research priorities and considerations is crucial for progress.

Purpose of the Study:

To determine and refine priorities and considerations for pediatric physical therapy educational research.
To engage diverse stakeholders in a consensus-building exercise.

Main Methods:

Utilized the Delphi method, a 4-round survey process.
Surveyed 54 physical therapists across 5 stakeholder groups, including experts and Academy of Pediatric Physical Therapy members.

Main Results:

Achieved 80% consensus on 12 educational research priorities and 13 considerations.
Identified 4 top-ranking priorities and 4 considerations consistently across all stakeholder groups.

Conclusions:

The identified priorities and considerations can inform the development of a pediatric physical therapy educational research agenda.
This knowledge will support the Academy of Pediatric Physical Therapy's capacity-building efforts in educational research.
