Background:

Secondary use of medical data requires shared understanding via metadata in repositories (MDRs).
Local metadata work is time-consuming and challenging for domain experts.

Purpose of the Study:

To support identification, collection, and structured provision of metadata for consolidation.
To enhance user acceptance in metadata management processes.

Main Methods:

Proposed MDRBridge software pipeline with MDRSheet, an ISO 11179-3 compliant template.
Supported manual entry and automatic extraction of metadata.
Developed ISO 11179 to Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium (CDISC) Operational Data Model (ODM) mapping for MDR export.
