- The patient received an intra-articular injection of lidocaine and triamcinolone into the pubic symphysis joint.
Findings:
- The injection provided immediate and complete resolution of the soldier's Osteitis Pubis symptoms.
- No recurrence of symptoms was reported at the one-month follow-up.
- This represents the first documented case of successful corticosteroid and anesthetic injection for OP resulting from a jump injury.
Implications:
- Intra-articular injection of local anesthetics and steroids is a viable treatment option for refractory Osteitis Pubis.
- This intervention may be particularly beneficial in cases of OP caused by acute traumatic events, such as military jump injuries.
