Healthcare workers (HCWs) can carry and transmit methicillin-susceptible Staphylococcus aureus (MSSA) to neonates in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs). This colonization by HCWs may lead to MSSA infections, including bacteremia, in vulnerable infants.
