Supernumerary Lacrimal Caruncle: A Case Series

Supernumerary lacrimal caruncle, a congenital lesion, was identified in a child and an adult. This finding expands the known age range for this rare conjunctival anomaly.

- Excisional biopsies confirmed the lesions were consistent with caruncular tissue.
- The identification of this anomaly in a 12-year-old boy expands the documented age range for supernumerary lacrimal caruncle.

- This finding suggests supernumerary lacrimal caruncle can present in younger individuals.
- Highlights the importance of considering congenital lesions in pediatric ophthalmology evaluations.
