First-in-Human Experience With Peritoneal Direct Sodium Removal Using a Zero-Sodium Solution: A New Candidate Therapy

Direct sodium removal (DSR) using a sodium-free solution effectively removed significant amounts of sodium in preclinical and human studies. This novel approach shows promise for managing fluid overload in heart failure patients.
