Summary
Pars plana vitrectomy with juxtapapillary laser treatment effectively treated optic disc pit maculopathy (ODP-M) with outer layer holes. Macular structure and visual acuity significantly improved after surgical intervention.
Area of Science:
- Ophthalmology
- Retinal Diseases
- Surgical Interventions
Background:
- Optic disc pit maculopathy (ODP-M) can lead to significant vision impairment.
- Outer layer holes in ODP-M present unique challenges for treatment and recovery.
- Intraretinal fluid (IRF) and serous retinal detachment (SRD) are common findings.
