    • Less invasive endoscopic bariatric procedures are emerging for class I obesity.
    • Endoscopic gastroplasty (EG) is a suturing technique under development.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To evaluate the safety and outcomes of endoscopic gastroplasty (EG).
    • To assess perioperative care and one-year results of EG.

    Main Methods:

    • Prospective, single-center study of 17 patients undergoing EG.
    • Analysis of body weight change and adverse events.
    • Comparison of outcomes between primary obesity (Group A) and secondary/severe obesity (Group B).

    Main Results:

    • No major intra-procedure or follow-up adverse events.
    • Mean excess weight loss (EWL) of 46.1% at 12 months.
    • Group A (primary obesity) achieved 72.4% EWL; Group B showed less favorable results, especially post-bariatric surgery.

    • EG is well-tolerated, with potential for ambulatory settings.
    • Less favorable outcomes observed in patients with prior bariatric surgery or severe obesity.
