No Severe Adverse Effects from Intravitreally Injected Putative Adipose Tissue-Derived Stem Cells

This case study found that intravitreal injections of adipose tissue-derived stem cells did not cause harm or complications in a patient with non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION). The cells were cleared via vitrectomy without adverse effects or integration observed.
