  • Convergent thinking performance was negatively correlated with rWMV in frontal, temporal, subcortical, and cerebellar WM areas.

  • Convergent thinking is uniquely associated with WM connectivity.
  • Specific WM pathways involved in language and concept processing are important for convergent thinking performance.
