Polyethylene glycol (PEG) contrast medium shows superior image quality for postmortem computed tomography angiography (PMCTA) compared to acetated Ringer solution (AR). While AR causes extravasation, PEG leads to more severe autopsy alterations, but is recommended for diagnostic imaging.
