Abstract:
Potassium metal anodes are very appealing due to their high theoretical capacity (687 mA h g-1), but violent reactivity and severe dendrite issues hinder their practical application. Here we report the in situ fabrication of an amalgam layer to stabilize potassium anodes over a wide temperature range of -20-40 °C.
