[A case of an atypical course in pheochromocytoma]

A case of a young woman, 33 years of age, suffering from pheochromocytoma with an atypical course (proved pathologicoanatomically) with the clinical picture of shock hyperpyrexia (up to 41 degrees C), leucocytosis with a shift to the left is presented. The authors are of the opinion that the atypical course is probably due to the prevailing adrenaline secretion. The contemporary drug treatment of these cases is discussed.
