Correlation Between Brain Trauma Foundation Guidelines and Published Severe Traumatic Brain Injury Research

Background:

• The Brain Trauma Foundation (BTF) has published four editions of evidence-based guidelines for severe traumatic brain injury (TBI) management.
• These guidelines aim to standardize clinical practice and stimulate TBI research.

• To analyze the association between the publication of BTF guidelines and the volume and design of severe TBI research.
