The Perinatal Quality Foundation Fetal Monitoring Credentialing exam reliably assesses both knowledge and judgment in obstetric providers and nurses. Findings suggest that while the exam is valid, knowledge alone doesn't guarantee clinical competency in fetal heart rate interpretation.
