Aortic valve replacement using small rapid-deployment valves shows good survival and improved heart function, even with prosthesis-patient mismatch. This procedure is safe and effective for patients with small aortic roots.

- Excellent early- and midterm survival rates and improved functional class were noted in patients with small aortic annuli.
