  • Clear corneal incisions may be a safer alternative to corneoscleral incisions for cataract extraction.
  • This approach could mitigate the risk of immune-mediated complications like necrotic sclerokeratitis.
  • Further research into the immunopathogenesis of postsurgical sclerokeratitis is warranted.
