Summary

Chlamydia trachomatis was found in tonsillar crypts of over 26% of tonsillitis patients, suggesting this bacterium may be a more common cause of throat infections than previously thought.

  • To establish a direct link between Chlamydia trachomatis and tonsillar infections.
