Editorial Commentary: How Do We Assess Graft Status After Superior Capsule Reconstruction?
1Oregon Health and Science University.
Abstract:
Superior capsule reconstruction for the treatment of irreparable rotator cuff tears leads to improvement in function. However, a substantial portion of grafts are not intact postoperatively. There is no consensus on the adequate timing of postoperative magnetic resonance imaging for the assessment of graft status. More studies are needed to understand the patient and surgical factors associated with graft integration.
